Why little hiker?
Because hiking is free, rewarding, challenging, endlessly diverse, beautiful & you can combine it with other lovely things:
- Photography
- Cooking & snacks
- Camping
- Wild swimming
- Weekends away
- Fitness / wellbeing
- Unlimited outfit possibilites
- Reasons to visit new places, countries ..
When I realised that almost everyone I know likes at least one of the things on the list.. I thought I could be a hiker and give them a vehicle to share their hobbies with me.
When did I become a little Hiker?
I started ‘hiking’ in 2024 and had none of the right things. I was sporting inappropriate footwear, no waterproofs, no map, no compass, no whistle.. I had a positive attitude and a tuna sandwich (not even my favourite sandwich) and two friends (much better than the sandwich).
👉 What I now pack
Since then I have climbed 20+ Munros* and discovered many bakeries, forests, lochs and pubs.
